Dead Island 2 Sola expansion offers a lot including a whole new area as well as a new story to explore.
In the news story, A deadly virus contaminated the whole valley turning its habitants into zombies as a chthonic rhythm calls from beyond: the beat of the Autophage. Lured to the festival by an enigmatic warning message, players must explore SOLA’s ruins and put a stop to this otherworldly menace.
The SOLA pack brings back two new legendary weapons so you can slice and demolish the zombies more easily.
If you are a dead island fan from a long ago then you’ll be happy to see the return of mighty Ripper into the game.
“It’s a homage to the weapon upgrade from the first Dead Island,” Haris Iqbal said (Dambusters’ Combat Game Designer)
“But from our end, we wanted to give it that Dead Island 2 signature appeal.”
The team evolved the original concept of a baseball bat, augmented it with a spinning blade, and made it into the ultimate machine for cutting through an undead mob.
“Ultimately, we want to add to all the gore-filled spectacle with our new legendaries,” says Iqbal.
“But also make sure that every weapon, especially the legendaries, feels like it got its interesting micro-mechanics and loops.”
The second weapon available in Sola expansion is the Saw Blade launcher, It is a ranged weapon capable of shooting saw blades and is powerful enough to clear a mob of zombies by cutting them apart.
The Dead Island 2 Sola expansion is available to download from 17 April 2024 at 12 pm EDT in USA and at 4pm GMT for United Kingddom.
The Dead Island 2 SOLA expansion is out now on PS4 and PS5.
